Counselling & Support Services
Vanessa Butler
Registered Social Workertime to shine therapyLife can be hard — and sometimes it helps to have someone walk alongside you while you make sense of why the things that once felt manageable now feel emotionally exhausting. My ideal clients are seniors, health professional's, first responders, adults and youth with ADHD who are seeking tools to manage focus, self-esteem, and daily demands. My true passion is working with older adults and those nearing end of life, as well as individuals and families navigating the profound transitions that come with aging.
I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore challenges, gain clarity, and build on your strengths. My work is guided by evidence-based practices, with a strong focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and integrative approaches. I bring both professional expertise and lived experience to my approach.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply in need of a compassionate place to land, you don’t have to face it alone. Healing begins when you feel truly seen, heard, and supported. Together, we can navigate what feels heavy and move toward a life that feels more manageable and fulfilling. If you’re ready to take that next step I would be happy to help.

Stef Fournier
long dog hypnotherapyhypnotherapyStef is a 2x board certified hypnotherapist who helps her clients live life in full colour. She primarily focuses on self-development topics such as motivation, overwhelm, self-confidence, habit breaking, and anxiety relief, however anything that you feel is holding you back from moving forward in life, business or relationships can be worked on through hypnosis.
Hypnosis can simplified as a trance-like state of intense, focused concentration and heightened suggestibility, combined with deep relaxation. It's completely safe and client led. Hypnosis works through the subconscious mind (things you automatically do and think) more than the conscious mind, so it's an excellent addition to talk therapy or counselling as the approaches are complimentary.
If you've ever been curious about hypnotherapy and how it can help on your journey, Stef offers a shorter introduction session that allows you to get an idea of what it's like.
Stef is thrilled to be a part of the Metchosin Wellness Collective family! You can learn more about her and her services at https://www.longdoghypno.com
DESCRIPTION OF OFFERINGSStef offers a 45 minute introduction to hypnosis session, full 1hr sessions and longer, in depth experiences for those who want to transform quickly and if they are a good candidate for the process. All sessions are client led and use various styles of hypnotherapy including time line techniques & regression, self-hypnosis, Ericksonian style, direct suggestion/traditional style, conversational, and some neurolinguistic programming (NLP).
